Collectible Entertainment Spotlight

Agents of Law 6 Comic 1.1

Agents of Law 6 Front Cover

Agents of Law Issue #6 features non-stop action, from start to finish. For that reason, it is the top pick of this bunch of Predator items. The Predator is hunting a worthy foe and they trade blows for the entirety of the issue. Even for Collectors who aren’t familiar with Agents of Law, this comic is a good read because it can be picked up and enjoyed as a standalone.

The artwork is very enjoyable. The 90s depiction of the Predator is one of our favorites. The front cover alone is incredibly detailed and shows a lot of skill. In the comic itself, our favorite parts are the various depictions of the Predator, especially in the beginning while he still has his helmet on. Something about that slick helmet with the red eyes really adds to the “looming threat” factor of the Predator.

Overall, a high recommendation from us! Perfect for the Predator fan that wasn’t aware of this lesser-known feature and wants a quick, engaging read.

Dark Horse Comics 10-11-12 Comics Set 1.1

Dark Horse Comics 10-11-12 Comics Set Front Covers

Another 90s spotlight, Dark Horse Comics Issues #10, 11, & 12 features a spread of stories with iconic characters including Godzilla, Aliens, James Bond, and the feature presentation, Predator. Taking place in Kenya, the 3-part predator story highlights how the Predator would do against the beasts of Africa. The story contains two arcs: the Predator versus a group of British hunters who are assigned to kill him, and the Predator chasing the last hunter and running into various, dangerous African creatures along the way. These two arcs join together to form a cohesive and enjoyable Predator story. One of the big appeals to the Predator franchise is how many different scenarios they put him in, giving fans an enormous amount of unique encounters.

The art is very well done. Not only in the Predator story, but overall. There is a charming, detailed simplicity in these 90s serial anthologies. While some panels are simpler to move the story along, there are other ones that can catch you by surprise. Our favorite panel is featured above, which shows two crocodiles ambushing the Predator.

Overall, a worthwhile read! Another lesser-known Predator story that some fans may not be aware of. Dark Horse Comics and Dark Horse Presents are treasure troves of Aliens and Predator content, so be sure to go and check out our other listings that are similar to this.
