Red Star: Volume 1 is a gorgeous hardcover that covers the first half of the 2000 Red Star saga. The hardcover features bonuses like concept art and commentary on the development of the unique story. The cherry on top is the art page that is bound in the front of the book, which has signatures from Christian Gossett, Bradley Kayl, and Snakebite. This book is limited to only 1500 copies and is not easy to come by, so fans of this lesser-known story will be excited to see this!

Red Star presents a thought-provoking universe that is set in an alternate world inspired by Russian folklore and culture. The story takes place in a war-torn land called the United Republics of the Red Star (URRS), where technology and magic coexist. The story follows Captain Marcus Antares, who is a powerful, leading member of the Red Fleet. The Red Fleet is a group of warriors who control massive flying battleships to carry out military campaigns. What follows is intense sequences of wartime battles as Marcus Antares and the Red Fleet go on missions that often end up being more than they bargained for.

Overall, this hardcover is recommended to completionist fans of this series who want a crowning jewel to their collection.
