Axel Pressbutton was created by Steve Moore and Alan Moore. Axel Pressbutton was originally a mild-mannered and plant-loving florist, he took delivery of plant matter which included a sentient, telepathic, anesthetic, carnivorous fungus which attacked his body from the feet upwards. All the time it was consuming him, it was empathizing with him, apologizing for eating him and preventing him from feeling the pain. By the time he was rescued, the only remaining parts of his body were his head, right arm and part of his chest. As a result of this damage, he became extremely embittered, especially against vegetation. Fortunately, modern medicine could rebuild him, as Pressbutton, with a pair of robotic legs, a steel midsection, and a razor-sharp cleaver permanently mounted to his new arm. His partner is a “laser eraser” named Mysta Mystralis, who is beautiful, deadly with her laser.
Laser Eraser aka… Mysta Mystralis is a weapons expert and trained assassin. She was cloned from the Ektryn, a renowned warrior from the planet Nagflar. She is 13 years old but appears to be a grown woman thanks to the growth acceleration of the cloning process. She works with the Cyborg Axel Pressbutton for some jobs, but is known to be deadly on her own.
3-D Laser Eraser and Pressbutton contains:
“Triple Cross” 17 pages
While away at Jalnore Bay, Laser Eraser aka… Mysta Mystralis and Pressbutton soon find their hotel room destroyed along with some of their belongings. Amongst the rubbish, the next-door occupant appears and states that he is Beth Tork and that the bomb was intended for him. Having asked if they lost much, Laser Eraser mentions guns and that she is a professional assassin and Beth Tork declares that he is a slaver and that he has a job for them. Beth Tork shares a tale of how he is triplets with two other brothers, and one of the other brothers is the ruler of his world… who does not like slaving. So, he wants his ruler brother killed. Laser Eraser and Pressbutton soon capture the bomber and extort information on the other Tork brothers. And soon follows an adventure of action and intrigue as Laser Eraser and Pressbutton find themselves in double crosses and triple crosses.

“Tall Story” 6 pages

Pressbutton quickly dispatches them and the beautiful Chulola gets to push his “special” button. Pressbutton soon learns that the woman grows quickly, very quickly… and very gigantic. He soon finds himself insect size compared to her and so he makes his way back the ship to repair it and go home. Back home, in bed, Mysta states, “and you really expect me to believe that?”
