Story (Spoilers!)
In 2122, the multinational corporation Weyland-Yutani diverted their commercial towing vehicle, the USCSS Nostromo, to the moon LV-426. Weyland-Yutani, purporting to answer a possible distress call, secretly wished to secure specimens of a dangerous alien species known as Xenomorph for study and profit.

One of the Xenomorphs, designated as XX121, got loose on the Nostromo. It proceeded to kill the crew members one by one. The only person to survive the carnage was Lieutenant Ellen Ripley. Escaping in a shuttle, Ripley blew up the Nostromo and left the creature for dead.

Now, twenty years later, Weyland-Yutani is investigating the Nostromo wreckage…
