Description

Batman ’66 – Vol. 4                                       Sealed Hardcover
Cover by: Michael Allred

The Dynamic Duo team up with Barbara Gordon to take on The Bookworm, a deranged zombie creating Professor, The Queen of Diamonds, Lord Death Man and The Joker. And in Batman ’66: The Lost Episode #1, a 1960s outline for an episode of the original TV series written by legendary science-fiction writer Harlan Ellison and introducing Two-Face is adapted to comics by writer Len Wein and artist José Luis Garcia-Lopez!

Batman ’66 – Vol. 4 contains:

Batman ’66 Issues #17-22
Writers: Jeff Parker, Tom Peyer, Rob Williams, Mike W. Barr, Harlan Ellison & Len Wein
Artists: Scott Kowalchuk, Dave Bullock, Richard Case, Leonardo Romero, Ruben Procopio, Sandy Jarrell, Michael Avon Oeming, José Luis García-López & Joe Prado

Stories/Spoilers
In part #1, Professor William McElroy has taken another blow to the head and once more believes himself to be the reincarnation of the Egyptian Pharaoh King Tut! This time he’s uncovered a virus associated with Osiris, Egyptian God of the Underworld, that will turn the citizens of Gotham City into zombies, ready to do his bidding – including eliminating Batman and Robin.

Next in part #2, When Barbara Gordon finds her library attacked by the Bookworm, it’s time for Batgirl to sprint into action. Meanwhile, Batman and Robin find things in Gotham City turned upside down when the Archer steals the GCPD’s computer and gives the criminals the upper hand on the police.

Next in part #3, Lord Marmaduke Ffogg has come to Gotham City, and he’s brought a bit of old Londinium with him. Specifically, some of that city’s famous fog! But this is no normal fog. His malicious mist may just find the entire populace saying ‘Gor Blimey!’ Can Batman and Robin see their way clear to stop this cloudy culprit in time, or will the city swing like a pendulum, too?

Next in part #4, Gotham City has a new hero in town: Joker Man! Can it be? Has the Clown Prince of Crime now become a comedic crimefighter? This new Joker seems to be sincere about lassoing the lawless by rounding up all the criminals, including some of his former allies! In fact, he’s so good at it that the citizenry wonders if they still need Batman and Robin at all…

Next in part #5, There’s a new villain in town and even Batman’s rogues gallery trembles at his name: Lord Death Man! Soon, the Dynamic Duo are jetting off to Japan to track him down.

Finally in part #6, Batman and Robin think they have trapped the cagey bird with a unique, one-of-a-kind umbrella commissioned by Bruce Wayne! However, The Penguin escapes them and goes on a wild, unpredictable crime spree.

Stories/Spoilers
The story opens at Gotham’s Northby’s Auction House where an incomplete set of Chang Dynasty blue porcelain glaze vases are up for auction. Several robberies, near escapes, and a showdown at an abandoned observatory later, Batman and Two-Face come face to face. Their final confrontation takes place aboard a derelict ship and ends with Two-Face surrendering because his coin landed on the edge.
