Tag-Team Wrestling… Inter-Galactic Style!
BattleTide pits the over-brawned, under-brained Killpower against the schizoid killing machine, Death’s Head II. The two are brought together by the inhabitants of Coliseum, a planetoid dedicated to bloody gladiatorial battle. To complicate things, several more of Earth’s heroes, including Dark Angel, Motormouth, and the X-Men’s Wolverine and Psylocke are also captured. Coliseum’s goal: to use these heroes as competitors in an intergalactic battle royal.

Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, It’s everyone’s favorite cyborg vs. everyone’s favorite assassin as Death’s Head II and Killpower find themselves in a world where war is an ever-present reality. With Dark Angel, Psylocke, Motormouth, Tuck & Wolverine. Death’s Head is hired by a Mys-Tech agent to capture Killpower. During their encounter, they are captured with other heroes of earth to be transported to the battle planet of Coliseum.

Next in issue #2, Death’s Head II & Killpower are now inextricably bonded so that they can fight on the battleworld, Coliseum. But they’re not the only ones; Wolverine, Dark Angel, Psylocke & Hercules are just a few of the other contestants. The heroes of earth are brought to the battle world of Coliseum to fight in a contest to the death. The heroes are paired off and Death’s Head and Killpower, Wolverine and Sabretooth, Psylocke and Hercules and Dark Angel and Smith complete their first day of battle against alien forces successfully. During her fight, Dark Angel is contacted by robotic monks that tell her there is more at stake than mere survival.

Next in issue #3, Things are not good for DH II, Killpower, Wolverine, Hercules, Psylocke & Dark Angel. Dark Angel senses a greater threat than Termagent and his warriors, a threat that’s headed right towards Coliseum! After a hard day of battle in the games of the planet Coliseum, the heroes of earth are sent to the pleasure-drome to relax and recover for day two of the contests. They are contacted by the robotic monks of the Temploid Order and told that, since Termagent has decreed that the fighting will be to the death, it has attracted a cosmic demonic wave that threatens to engulf the universe. As the second day of the blood sport begins, the heroes free themselves from their restraining collars and confront Termagent and Megaira but find that the BattleTide is already upon them.

Finally in issue #4, The pulse-pounding, apocalyptic conclusion of this limited series! Dark Angel leads Wolverine, Psylocke, Death’s Head II & Killpower into a confrontation with the demonic Termagent and the entire BattleTide Force. The demonic BattleTide has washed over the combat world of Coliseum and earth’s heroes watch in horror as Termagent and Megaira absorb the power of the wave and combine to form the demon lord Termagaira. The heroes battle this new threat but it is Death’s Head, modified by Killpower, who is able to absorb the BattleTide and save the day. The heroes return to earth where Killpower reassembles Death’s Head as good as new (well, almost).
