The Emperor: The Emperor is the supreme ruler of the Galactic Empire. He was once an unassuming senator of the Republic, but grew in power, through evil ways, to gain total control of the galaxy. He has appointed Darth Vader as his emissary and executor of his plans for galactic conquest.

R2-D2: R2-D2 is a barrel-shaped droid that functions as a sophisticated computer-repair and information-retrieval robot. Artoo communicates through beeps, whistles, and toots of all types which his protocol droid sidekick, C-3PO, interprets for their human companions.

Luke Skywalker: Luke Skywalker is a young farm boy on the remote planet of Tatooine. A combination of circumstances brings him into contact with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Princess Leia. Luke Joins the Rebel Alliance and through use of the Force succeeds in destroying the Death Star.

Darth Vader: Darth Vader personifies the evil of the Galactic Empire. Imposing in his black mask and cape, he once was a Jedi Knight but turned to the dark side of the Force. He uses his power in support of the Empire and seeks the destruction of the Rebel Alliance.
