A new problem has struck this motley world of ours: the dead are refusing to stay dead. Scientists are baffled, but not having a clue never stopped the intrepid Captain Sternn and his companion Justine Tyme from rushing into action. They set their sights on business magnate Fillmore Coffers, head of the Cosmic Coola beverage company. As it turns out, Fillmore has opened dimensional doorways into the Jurassic era and has discovered a hyper-addictive plant that grows there. This plant is so addictive that when placed in a beverage, like Cosmic Coola, people will keep drinking it until they die – then get up and drink more! Unfortunately, Fillmore has managed to trap Sternn and Tyme in the Jurassic era. Can they possibly escape in time to stop the Walking Death, or will they merely show up someday as fossilized dinosaur food? Captain Sternn is a hilarious and action-packed tale by renowned horror-master Bernie Wrightson.

Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, The return of Wrightson’s military con man Sternn (seen in the Heavy Metal movie and magazine). Sternn escapes from prison and uses a time machine to follow a treasure stash into the past.

Next in issue #2, Sternn travels into the distant past with his swindled booty, but his enemy Coffers plots to strand him in prehistoric times.

Next in issue #3, Sternn discovers Coffers link to the plague, but he’s trapped in the dinosaur era; just when things can’t get worse, Hanover Fiste shows up in the past.

Next in issue #4, Sternn confronts Coffers in the Jurassic era, but Coffers manages to escape back into the future, leaving Sternn behind.

Finally in issue #5, Sternn escapes from the past and confronts Coffers in the future, but before the TV crews can expose them both, Sternn has a few more tricks up his sleeve.
