Description

Birth.Movies.Death. – Halloween Commemorative Issue      Magazine
Cover by: Phantom City Creative

Birth.Movies.Death. is a monthly magazine distributed to Alamo Drafthouse theaters featuring articles, pictorials and interviews with the stars and creators of the films shown that month at The Alamo Drafthouse theater chain. This issue covers the phenomenon that is John Carpenter’s Halloween!

Halloween is an American slasher media franchise that consists of thirteen films, as well as novels, comic books, a video game and other merchandise. The films primarily focus on Michael Myers, who was committed to a sanitarium as a child for the murder of his sister, Judith Myers. Fifteen years later, he escapes to stalk and kill the people of the fictional town of Haddonfield, Illinois. Michael’s killings occur on the holiday of Halloween, on which all of the films primarily take place. Throughout the series various protagonists try to stop Myers including, most notably Laurie Strode (primarily portrayed by Jamie Lee Curtis) and psychiatrist Dr. Samuel Loomis (primarily portrayed by Donald Pleasence). The original Halloween, released in 1978, was written by John Carpenter and Debra Hill – the film’s director and producer respectively.

Birth.Movies.Death. is celebrating the release of David Gordon Green’s HALLOWEEN (2018) with a stunning new collectible magazine filled with editorials, interviews and deep dives into the history of one of the greatest horror films ever made.

Featuring a gorgeous Mondo cover by artist Phantom City Creative, interior art by renowned designer Denton Watts, a stunning spread featuring some of Mondo’s greatest HALLOWEEN posters, and a series of exclusive interviews with HALLOWEEN 2018’s creative team (including Green, Jamie Lee Curtis, and John Carpenter), this edition of the Birth.Movies.Death. magazine is a must-have for HALLOWEEN mega-fans.
