Set in east Texas in the 1940’s, Blood and Shadows features small-time detective Chet Daly on the trail of a gruesome killer the papers have dubbed, “The Skinner.” Not for the squeamish or faint of heart.

Initially involved as a favor to his girlfriend who was worried about her brother’s disappearance, Daly embarks on a journey of horror and mysticism. His investigation leads him to the discovery of a cache of grisly trophies and the mythological God of the Razor, a deity governing all things sharp and evil. Daly will risk much to defeat a demon that is entirely beyond his experience, but The God of the Razor has made it personal.

Story/Spoilers
In book #1, Hard-boiled private detective Chet Daly is drawn into a grisly case of homicide and supernatural horror. Investigating the strange behavior of his girlfriend’s brother, Daly follows a bloody trail of death to the God of the Razor, an inhuman, elemental force of mutilation and murder.

Next in book #2, Chet Daly’s growing obsession to destroy the God of the Razor leads him to investigate the demon’s gory past in the disturbing journal of Justice Jones.

Next in book #3, After the final struggle between Justice Jones and the God of the Razor, Chet Daly is flung into the 21st century, in which he has to save Ida from the sadistic bloodlust of the demon.

Finally in book #4, Chet Daly’s quest to save Ida and himself from a grisly, gory, agonizing death means a final showdown with the otherworldly demon known as the God of the Razor.
