This comic miniseries pits Dracula against Jack the Ripper (who in this story is a psychotic Prince Albert Victor, Duke of Clarence) in Victorian London. It is a prequel to Bram Stoker’s novel Dracula.
Stories/Spoilers
In issue #1, “New Moon, New Blood”, Dracula arrives in Victorian London, right at the time when the Jack the Ripper murders begin. As fear builds in Victorian London, Jack The Ripper brutally murders two more victims! Meanwhile, Dracula finds himself falling in love with the young woman known as Black Mary.
Next in issue #2, “Light of the Sun, Dark of the Moon”, Dracula is interviewed by a newspaper man, while Prince Eddy continues the Ripper murders. On a single, horrible night, Jack claims two more hapless victims for his orgy of bloodlust – as Dracula himself decides to confront the Ripper.
Next in issue #3, “Moonbeams, Dread Schemes”, The murders continue, with the Queen showing concern for her nephew. The Life and Deaths of Jack the Ripper article; information on the real Jack the Ripper case, including various cartoons from the time. Whitechapel acts as a magnet, drawing all of our players together. Finally, an enraged Dracula corners Jack The Ripper and London witnesses the most terrifying battle this side of Hell!
Finally in issue #4, “Vampire Love, Lunatic Moon” The Ripper kills Dracula’s love and faces the wrath of the Vampire King.
