It was just after the second World War when it all began – 1949, to be exact, in a town with the unlikely name of Bucksnort, Texas. There had been a disturbance in the town, and a radio-dispatched police car was sent to investigate. That also disappeared. So, they sent in the army. The troops entered the town and found a charnel house. Blood was everywhere, and the skulls of the town’s residents were neatly stacked atop a strange altar. The town had only one survivor – a woman pregnant by an unspeakable father. The woman gave birth to a healthy son, then lapsed into a catatonic state. The boy was raised by the Captain who led the troops into Bucksnort and grew to a man. Years passed uneventfully until the boy saw combat in Laos. Then, under fire, his true nature revealed itself…

Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, ‘Breed is about Raymond Stoner, who is learning how to deal with his father’s legacy: That legacy is that Raymond is half-human / half-demon. This legacy has a deadly side to it… Raymond Stoner is born, grows up, goes to Nam. In Nam he discovers the Breed power inside him.

Next in issue #2, “Life sucks and then you die”, That’s Raymond Stoner’s motto. Colonel Alex Stoner, Raymond’s father, has been pursuing the truth about the demonic Night Raiders for 20 years. The Colonel begins a covert CIA operation to unravel the mystery involving the Night Raiders and his son’s heritage. The government insists he needs back-up. He needs his son Raymond, He needs ‘Breed! Raymond meets Rachel; A man takes a walk, gets high and finds a mysterious doorway that leads to a horrific, but beautiful place.

Next in issue #3, No one can kill Raymond Stoner because he’s ‘Breed. Humans always come out second best when the mess with ‘Breed. Trapped in a world parallel to New York City, Stoner learns the secrets of ‘Breed, the existence of others like him, and his own heritage. Forced by battle to reveal the demon inside him, ‘Breed realizes his journey has only just begun! Rachel begins teaching Raymond to control the Breed power.

Next in issue #4, Project: Night Riders uncovers startling new evidence of a midday attack in Scranton, Ohio while ‘Breed (Raymond Stoner) makes a startling discovery – his mother is alive – that leads to a journey to Texas.

Next in issue #5, Raymond and Rachel are discovered by the Demons; A pack of Breed are dispatched to kill them.

Finally in issue #6, Tragedy strikes as Rachel dies in this last issue.
