Hiroshi Kanatani presents a new addition to the ever-growing line-up of Kaiju… Coaraptor! An ancient dinosaur-like beast that is controlled by an ancestral line of iron spear wielders. The first man in line defeated but spared Coaraptor, earning its respect. Now, several generations later, a young man called Qualetaqa has possession over the spear. Working with the Guardian Angels of Texas government organization, Qualetaqa and Coaraptor protect the state from all sorts of threats!

Story/Spoilers:
In issue #1, The American West, early 19th century. Under the orders of the wealthy, greedy Mr. Josihk, both the local Native Americans and the herds of bison are being driven to extinction. Then Gomda, a warrior of the Kaiowa tribe. appears with a warning: Josihk’s over-hunting of bison has awakened a living force of nature: the kaiju Coaraptor! Armed only with an iron spear, can one man save the Kaiowa lands from a double threat of decimation?

Next in issue #2, A storm is brewing in the Gulf of Mexico, a hurricane powerful enough to destroy much of Texas. Suspecting more than global warming behind it, Government agents use old records of a wind-elemental giant monster to find Qualetaqa, a young Native American teen who inherited his grandfather’s iron spear, and with it, the ability to summon Coaraptor!

Next in issue #3, When a mystery monster destroys a natural gas facility in the Lone Star State, the newly formed Guardian Angels of Texas (GAT) seek aid from the Kiowa tribe youth Qaletaqa, friend and master of Coaraptor. But there’s an ill wind blowing for the wind kaiju: A lethal leviathan of a longhorn is spewing toxic fumes, and Coaraptor must clear the air before everyone succumbs to DEATHane poisoning!

Next in issue #4, Something’s got the Lone Star State all shook up, so once again, the Guardian Angels of Texas (GAT) must gain the reluctant aid of Qaletaqa, friend and master of Coaraptor. This time, Coaraptor comes up against a quake-causing kaiju so heavy-handed, it can be downright unmovable. It’s Earth vs. Wind!

Finally in issue #5, Texas has a fever, and the only cure… is more kaiju. A vicious variant of the Coronavirus has spread throughout the state, courtesy of a mutant species of bat dubbed the Covidron. The Guardian Angels of Texas (GAT), aided by Native American youth Qaletaqa, trace the bats to their lair, only to face the Covidron’s true titanic form. It’s up to Qaletaqa and Coaraptor to quash the COVID kaiju before it unleashes global disaster!

Collectible Entertainment note: Comics #1,2,3,4,5 are in Good to Very Fine condition. (issue #3 has a significant large crease on the front cover >> top right corner, so Good condition… see 6th scan) Overall… Nice Set!  Please See Scans!!  A must have for any serious Giant Monster, Kaiju and/or Coaraptor collector / enthusiast.  A fun & entertaining read.  Highly Recommended.
