Hither came Conan the Cimmerian; black-haired, sullen-eyed, sword in hand, a thief, a reaver, a slayer. His life as a mercenary and pirate long past, Conan turned his eye to the throne of Aquilonia and the hand of the fair Zenobia. And what Conan sought, Conan won…

Once a barbarian and once a warrior, Conan is now king. Heavy is the head that wears the crown, though, and it’s not surprising that even with his queen about to give birth to his child, Conan is troubled. The arrival of the magician Ra-Sidh from the Stygian high court only adds to Conan’s concerns and threatens to bring his bloody past rushing back to the forefront. Can Conan truly leave his warrior’s life behind?

Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, Conan has won the throne of Aquilonia and the hand of the beautiful Zenobia. With a kingdom to rule and an heir on the way, will the Cimmerian finally put up his sword for good?  Don’t bet on it.  When his bride and country are attacked by a sinister Stygian sorcerer, Conan strikes back at Stygia with all his might – and the might of Aquilonia – in a move that threatens to throw all Hyboria into chaos!

Next in issue #2, As his queen mourns the death of their son, Conan mounts an all-out invasion of Stygia, setting events in motion that may change the course of all Hyboria…

Next in issue #3, The echoes of Ra-Sidh’s sorcery take on a grotesque new form as Conan and his men ride deeper into Stygia.

Next in issue #4, King Conan’s quest for vengeance takes him past the boundaries of life and death and into the heart of evil as the sinister events in Stygia escalate into a deadly crescendo.

Finally in issue #5, Ra Sid’s diabolical plans reach their climax in a deadly crescendo of magic and murder. As ancient spells clash with Aquilonian steel, King Conan must put his personal vendetta aside to save his kingdom-and world-from a fate far worse than the darkest death.
