“The People of the Black Circle” is one of the original novellas about Conan the Cimmerian, written by American author Robert E. Howard and first published in Weird Tales magazine in three parts over the September, October and November 1934 issues.

It concerns Conan kidnapping a regal princess of Vendhya and foiling a nefarious plot of world domination by the Black Seers of Yimsha. The story is considered an undisputed classic of Conan lore and is often cited by Howard scholars as one of his best tales. Now, two of the hottest names in comics: writer, Fred Van Lente and artist, Ariel Olivetti reunite for a brutal Conan epic like no other! Based on the work of Conan creator Robert E. Howard.

Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, Assassins, dark magic, and a beautiful noblewoman mean trouble for the Cimmerian barbarian unlike he’s ever seen in this full-tilt escapade through the mountains of Afghulistan!

Next in issue #2, Conan is on the run with his captive, Queen Yasmina-but his desperate bid to seek refuge in the Himelian Mountains leads him into an ambush! Meanwhile, murderous magic is afoot as the wicked sorcerer Khemsa plots against the unsuspecting Cimmerian!

Next in issue #3, Desperate soldiers, ruthless mercenaries, vengeance-crazed tribesmen, and evil sorcerers-they’re all out for Conan’s blood! After the Black Seers of Yimsha seize Queen Yasmina and withdraw to their mountain fortress, will the Cimmerian be able to reclaim the woman that he himself has taken hostage?

Finally in issue #4, To rescue the captive Devi Yasmina, Conan will have to overcome the malicious magicks of the Black Seers of Yimsha. But even if he can defeat the foul sorcerers in their own mountain fortress, he must still contend with their even more formidable master!
