Following the sack of Venarium, young Conan of Cimmeria chose a path that few of his countrymen ever had – before or since – one that led him past the borders of his homeland into the grand world of adventure. While abroad, he learned and plied the trades of a mercenary and thief, and encountered threats found in his physical realm and those beyond- leading Conan, now hardened beyond his years, to journey back to Cimmeria to seek respite and a sliver of solace… only to encounter a looming threat more ominous and other-worldly than any he had faced before.

Story (Spoilers!)
In issue #1, “Bound in Black Stone Part 1: Scourge of the Dead”, Years after the battle of Venarium, a weary CONAN returns to his homeland to seek rest and solitude. However, a mysterious scout rides in to warn the Cimmerians of an imminent threat on the march from the Pictish wilderness. Will CONAN and his new ally be able to hold off this new horde of invaders? Brissa rides in to warn the villagers at Hauler’s Roam of the cursed army that is heading their way. However, the army reaches them and only Conan and Brissa are able to escape.
