Story (Spoilers!)
Before the time of Conan, a powerful warrior, Thun’da of the evil Acheron Empire, terrorized the lands and then later succumbed to the Stygian hordes. Thun’da wielded a crimson sword which was cursed to kill anyone whose blood it tasted. The Scarlet Sword, a blood-lusting sword, won’t rest until it has slain anyone it’s cut. Now it has been unearthed by a venal nobleman who became possessed by Thun’da’s vengeful spirit and summarily killed his entire family, except for his beautiful daughter who escapes with a flesh wound. Days later, still being pursued by her ensorcelled father, she encounters Conan who saves damsels in distress on a regular basis. But when Conan sustains a cut from the enchanted blade and it tastes the blood of Conan, he becomes the next target of the cursed sword. Now the bronze barbarian and his companion Helliana (from the pages of Conan Lord of the Spiders (1998) #1-3) are stalked by Thun’da, the wielder of the evil weapon! But in escaping his clutches, Conan has led Thun’da to an unsuspecting village — a village that will be destroyed unless a certain enraged Cimmerian can stop him! Can the bronze barbarian save an innocent young woman and her entire village from the sword of blood?

Roy Thomas returns to Conan for an all-new adventure of classic sword and sorcery action!
