In 1991, Marvel released the graphic novel “Conan the Rogue” which was a story that was plotted, penciled, inked and colored by Big John Buscema. He got his longtime collaborator Roy Thomas to script the story. The story is pretty standard Conan-Roy Thomas fare: bars, broads and battles with the inevitable supernatural element. Highly recommended for Savage Sword fans.

Story/Spoilers
The Empire – building country of Turan mercilessly uses its power as it sees fit. But the struggle for power within is ruthless indeed. Father will kill son, brother will kill brother …to show power, to keep power, to gain power.

Nowhere in Turan is this game played for such deadly stakes than between the sister cities of Fort Ghori and Khawarizm, where treachery and assassination are a way of life.

Hither wanders Conan…barbarian, thief, mercenary…seeking a flagon of ale and a willing wench. Woe to those who would make the mistake of thinking Conan a witless fool who could be easily manipulated.

But mistakes will be made…
