Daredevil is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Daredevil was created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist Bill Everett, with an unspecified amount of input from Jack Kirby. The character first appeared in Daredevil #1 (April 1964). Writer/artist Frank Miller’s influential tenure on the title in the early 1980s cemented the character as a popular and influential part of the Marvel Universe. Daredevil is commonly known by such epithets as “Hornhead”, “The Man Without Fear” and “The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen”.

Frank Miller (born January 27, 1957) is an American comic book writer, penciller and inker, novelist, screenwriter, film director, and producer known for his comic book stories and graphic novels such as his run on Daredevil and subsequent Daredevil: Born Again, The Dark Knight Returns, Batman: Year One, Sin City, and 300.

Volume 2 features the gritty, street-level action and moody atmosphere that made Frank Miller’s Daredevil a classic. Including the appearance of Daredevil’s arch-nemesis the Kingpin, the crime boss who is once again is polluting New York City with his corrupted touch. Then there is Elektra, Daredevil’s former college girlfriend and lover, who has taken up the occupation of bounty hunter and assassin. A deadly killer in her own right. And speaking of deadly killer’s, Bullseye, a psychotic, super assassin who can transform any item into a weapon is about as deadly as they come. These three dark figures swarm around the Man Without Fear, vying for his body, mind and soul, leading to a classic and unforgettable climax that can only end in pain, betrayal and brutal retribution. Since a young Frank Miller took the reins of Daredevil, a “second-class” superhero, in 1981 he has turned the comic book world upside down with a dynamic, cinematic storytelling style, complicated characters, and unusual (for the time) devices such as first-person narrative. Daredevil Visionaries Frank Miller Vol 2 is about as good as it gets when it comes to graphic storytelling.
