Daredevil is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Daredevil was created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist Bill Everett, with an unspecified amount of input from Jack Kirby. The character first appeared in Daredevil #1 (April 1964). Writer/artist Frank Miller’s influential tenure on the title in the early 1980s cemented the character as a popular and influential part of the Marvel Universe. Daredevil is commonly known by such epithets as “Hornhead”, “The Man Without Fear” and “The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen”.

Frank Miller (born January 27, 1957) is an American comic book writer, penciller and inker, novelist, screenwriter, film director, and producer known for his comic book stories and graphic novels such as his run on Daredevil and subsequent Daredevil: Born Again, The Dark Knight Returns, Batman: Year One, Sin City, and 300.

It has been said that Daredevil found new life under the pen and pencil of Frank Miller. Frank Miller’s unique vision of Daredevil not only revitalized our hero but also garnered Frank Miller with great acclaim for his storytelling and art. In this third volume of Frank Miller’s complete run on Daredevil, the Man without Fear, our hero once more taking on New York City’s criminal underworld. Daredevil finds himself going up against the Kingpin, the dangerous organization known as the Hand and everybody’s favorite deadly vigilante the Punisher. Dealing with the Kingpin of crime’s latest schemes while precariously handling a crumbling relationship with Heather Glenn. Angered and frustrated over the prevalence of drugs in the schools. Daredevil finds himself at odds with the Punisher, who has a deadlier method for dealing with drug pushers. And when the dangerous Hand returns from Japan, Daredevil needs help but his last ally against them, Elektra, is dead. Coming to his aid is the Black Widow, an old lover, who only further complicates Daredevil’s emotions. Throw Stick and a possibly resurrected Elektra into the mix and you find Frank Miller’s conclusion to his complete run on Daredevil a climatic “must have” for any true believer.
