Next in part #2, One Week Ago: A rookie cop tries to bust Daredevil for assaulting a hood while he is trying to find out who sent Nitro after him. Daredevil confronts the Kingpin about the situation and Fisk denies he had anything to do with it. Three Weeks Ago: Sammy Silke moves into town and starts making friends with the Kingpin’s boys. Today: Ben Urich gets the call that the Kingpin is dead.
Next in part #3, Assassins are gunning for Daredevil and he can’t figure out why.
Next in part #4, Today: Vanessa Fisk finds out her husband has been stabbed and in critical condition (and not killed as reports claim). Three Months Ago: Sammy joins the Kingpin’s organization and asks for Murdock to be killed as a favor to his father. Kingpin forcefully declines. Two Days Ago: Daredevil is told that the Kingpin has put the hit on him, and Wilson realizes that someone in his organization defied him to do it. Two Months Ago: Sammy regales the Kingpin’s men with the story of a man who waited patiently until he got his shot and then took it.
Next in part #5, Today: Ben and Matt have a heart to heart about the killing of the Kingpin. Two Months Ago: Sammy convinces Richard to help him revolt against the Kingpin. One Month Ago: Sammy convinces the rest of Kingpin’s goons to join the plot. Today: Kingpin is airlifted out of New York, but Vanessa stays behind to take care of family business.
Next in part #6, Vanessa starts killing the men who turned on her husband, starting with her own son. Sammy runs to the feds and reveals that Matt Murdock is Daredevil.
Next in part #7, Sammy sings to the feds and they put together a profile of Matt Murdock as Daredevil. The boss tells his men to keep the info under wraps, but the next morning, Foggy buys the Daily Globe which has a headline story about his best friend being Daredevil.
Next in part #8, Foggy and Matt desperately try to figure out what to do now that Matt’s secret identity is known to the world.
Next in part #9, Ben and Parker tell Jonah the Daredevil secret identity story is a hoax but both refuse to tell him who Daredevil really is. Foggy tries to get Matt to give up his life as Daredevil.
Next in part #10, After helping Spider-Man mop up Mr. Hyde, Matt calls a press conference to clear up the allegations that he is, in fact, Daredevil. The conference begins as the issue ends.
Next in part #11, Matt denies to the press that he and Daredevil are one and the same. The Widow tries to coax Matt into going out with her as Daredevil but is turned down flat. Matt meets with Vanessa who informs him that she is leaving the country for good and has sold the Kingpin’s business to an unnamed buyer. Elektra shows up for a last panel confrontation with Matt.
Finally in part #12, Matt has a little rooftop chat with Elektra. The Daily Globe lawyer bluntly assures Matt and Foggy that the secret identity trial is going to court. Daredevil spooks the FBI Agent who is going to testify and Mr. Rosenthal calls Matt in to settle. After a settlement is reached, Rosenthal decides to take the battle to court anyway since Matt is so smug about it all.
