The Dictators of Twentieth Century Series published by Antarctic Press was a historical series focusing on the brutal dictatorships that shaped the twentieth century. Both Saddam Hussein and Adolf Hitler were featured in 2 separate series. The latter, Adolf Hitler, is featured in this comic set. It’s the illustrated real life of one of the world’s greatest dictators all time… all presented in Glorious Black & White!

Adolf Hitler, the former German dictator who oversaw the tragedies of World War II and The Holocaust, occupies a singular place in history as the most despised man of the 20th century. But while history—and his own actions—paint him as a monster, this biographical comic series points out that he was also a man. Taking us from his childhood in Austria to his adulthood in Germany, the objective look at the man tells us more about him than many know. First, he was a failed artist, a soldier, and many other things before becoming the dictator that history remembers.

Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, “The Artist”, Adolf Hitler gave the world two of its most devastating tragedies, World War II and The Holocaust. His dysfunctional childhood and the turbulent historic period in which he was raised shaped both the man he was and the monster he would become.

Next in issue #2, “The Soldier”, As a German infantry soldier during World War I, young Adolf Hitler sees firsthand the carnage of the battlefield. But he is also introduced to the poisonous ideas that will shape both himself and his adopted country in the passage of time.

Next in issue #3, “The Dictator”, After World War I, Adolf Hitler becomes a spy, a revolutionary and then a convict. But economic disaster and a culture of rage in Germany sweep him into power, bringing even darker times to Europe and the world.

Finally in issue #4, “The Party Leader”, Now the chancellor of Germany, Adolf Hitlers dreams of conquest lead him to capture more of Europe than anyone since Napoleon. Only the combined forces of the Allied powers can stop him, and even they cannot save the victims of Hitlers Holocaust.
