Based on the Dinosaurs Attack Topps 1988 trading card series. The cards tell the story of dinosaurs transported through time into the present day through a freak accident and wreaking havoc on Earth. The series is notable for its graphic violence and gore, intended to evoke memories of the successful Mars Attacks trading card series of 1962.

In “The Timescan Disaster”, A brilliant scientist has created a device that scans time on temporal planes, in effect unfreezing history so it can be seen as if it were currently happening. But there are many protesters against the experiment, including the scientist’s ex-wife, who manages to get the testing delayed. Hover, all the protests and objections become moot when the device “accidentally” starts and the “scanning of time” ends up being anything and everything but harmless, dinosaurs materialize in the present and quickly go on a rampage, eating people, destroying bridges, and anything else in their path.

Collectible Entertainment comment: Eclipse’s Dinosaurs Attack! The Graphic Novel (1991) is an ill-fated title that was originally to have run for three issues instead of just the 1 that was published and is therefore an incomplete story…. Nonetheless, Earl Norem’s “Dinosaur” artwork is still awesome from cover to interior. Recommended for Earl Norem art enthusiasts… as well as Dinosaurs Attack! & Mars Attacks enthusiasts. It’s good stuff.
