Marvel Comics’ official comic adaptation of the 1981 movie “Dragonslayer.” Based on the screenplay by Hal Barwood and Matthew Robbins. A young wizarding apprentice is sent to kill a dragon which has been devouring girls from a nearby kingdom where a king has made a pact with a dragon where he sacrifices virgins to it and the dragon leaves his kingdom alone.

Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, villagers from the kingdom threatened by a dragon appeal to the wizard Ulrich to help them against the creature. But when Ulrich is killed, it’s up to his apprentice Galen to do something in part one of this adaptation.

Finally in issue #2, when the king’s daughter is to be the next sacrifice, Galen gathers weapons and goes against the dragon but then figures out the wizard Ulrich’s plan to battle the evil creature in part two of this adaptation.
