Marvel Comics published two series of Drakes Cakes Mini Comics. Both series were packaged and available with Drake’s Cakes snack cakes, the first series was released in 1993 and the second in 1994. The second series was a five part mini-series of mini-comics which were packaged with Drake’s Cakes snack cakes in 1994. The comics are small in size (5″ x 3″), but pack a big punch with an all-star Marvel character cast! Features; Spider-Man, Silver Surfer, Hulk, Wolverine, Gladiator, Starbolt, Ulysses, Hector, Imperial Guard, X-Men, & Pantheon.

“Breakout!”
A prison break on Hala alerts the attention of the Silver Surfer who soars in to investigate. Upon his arrival some of the prisoners have already escaped the planet heading towards Earth. He is enlisted to assist the Imperial Guard in an effort to re-capture the escaped Kree prisoners and quell the Havoc on Hala!

“When Heroes Clash!”
Spider-Man’s attention is caught by an escaped Kree ship full of prisoners from Hala as it lands on Earth. Dylon-Cir attempts to trick Spider-Man in recruiting the assistance of the Avengers, but before any action can be taken, Gladiator and Starbolt arrive in hot pursuit of the Kree prisoners – demanding Spider-Man stand down. A minor altercation breaks out, but in the end Spider-Man is able to assist the Imperial Guardsmen (who later declare him a warrior).

“Pantheon Raid”
More escaped Kree prisoners from Hala land at the Mount and attempt to steal weapons (under the guise they they need them to defend their planet). Hulk, Ulysses and Hector of Pantheon are not fooled by this ruse which forces Kona-Lor and her allies (Yeti and Skreamer) to initiate battle. It doesn’t end well for the prisoners, who are eventually brought back to Hala by the Imperial Guardsmen (Gladiator and Starbolt).

“The Nuke Hunters”
While “vacationing” Wolverine stumbles upon an army base under siege by escaped Kree prisoners from Hala. The escaped prisoners (Tallun, Skulker, Garrote and Hunter) are attempting to steal nuclear weapons stored at the facility to be used against the Shi’ar. Wolverine quickly disrupts the Kree prisoner’s attempt to steal the nukes. He is soon joined by the X-Men (Cyclops, Iceman, Jubilee, Archangel and Gambit) who are on their way to Hala to assist Lilandra (who contacted Professor X for assistance with the uprising on Hala).

“Siege and Destroy”
The X-Men arrive on Hala to assist Lilandra with a recent Kree prisoner uprising. The Imperial Palace has been taken over by Galen-Kor, Thunder, Quarrel and Falkon. Tensions rise as the escaped Kree prisoners quarrel among themselves. Only to be interrupted by the attacking X-Men and the Silver Surfer. The Kree revolution is quickly subdued by the super-heroes. Lilandra offers a hero’s feast in the X-Men’s honor after Wolverine say’s he is hungry after the battle.
