The Land That Time Forgot is a fantasy novel by American writer Edgar Rice Burroughs, the first of his Caspak trilogy. His working title for the story was “The Lost U-Boat.” The sequence was first published in Blue Book Magazine as a three-part serial in the issues for August (vol. 27 #4), October (vol. 27 #6), and December (vol. 28 #2) 1918. The complete trilogy was later combined for publication in book form under the title of the first part by A. C. McClurg in June 1924. Beginning with the Ace Books editions of the 1960s, the three segments have usually been issued as separate short novels.
The Land that Time Forgot: Volume 1 – Prisoners of Caspak contains:
The Land that Time Forgot: Prisoners of Caspak (2016)
Writer: Mike Wolfer
Artist: Giancarlo Caracuzzo
Colorist: Flavia Caracuzzo
Letterer: Natalie Jane
In part #1, One hundred years ago, Bowen Tyler, a handful of British allies, and the crew of a German U-33 submarine were lost at sea. What they discovered was something that defied time, and all of known science: the island of Caspak! Hidden inside impregnable rock walls lay a prehistoric world, filled with terrifying creatures and murderous primitives from every era of time and evolution. Somehow, the island was never again found, and the stories of the survivors of Caspak were considered fantasy. Today, an expedition has been launched by Tyler’s great granddaughter Abby, a quest to find concrete evidence of his adventure. But what she and her research team will uncover is something far deadlier and more shocking than they could ever have imagined, as the modern-day explorers find themselves thrust into The Land That Time Forgot!
Next in part #2 They have found the fabled island continent of Caspak… And now, they might be buried there! Abby Tyler and her research team face an unfathomable scenario: Somehow, they have traveled back in time and have come face-to-face with not only Bowen Tyler himself, but also the evil Baron von Schoenvorts and the crew of the U-33. To their knowledge, World War I still rages outside the walls of Caspak, and von Schoenvorts will stop at nothing to escape the island prison. But will any of them survive being attacked by a pack of vicious Allosaurus?
Finally in part #3, In the action-packed conclusion to the first ‘The Land That Time Forgot’ mini-series, the explorers from present day and the survivors from 1916 must act quickly, or risk becoming the eternal prisoners of Caspak! Trapped within the prehistoric continent where time has no meaning, Bowen Tyler, his future granddaughter Abby, and a handful of allies must stop the evil Baron Von Schoenvorts’ plan to use captured mini-submarines to escape the savage, lost world, a move that could have devastating effects on history. Outnumbered and outgunned, the heroes have only one hope for victory- Use Caspak itself as a weapon against the German U-boat captain and crew in an unforgettable, final battle in The Land That Time Forgot!

Writer: Mike Wolfer
Artist: Mike Wolfer
Inker: Mario Zimprich
Colorist: Flavia Caracuzzo
Letterer: Natalie Jane
In part #1, In this incredible and gorgeous two-issue miniseries, Edgar Rice Burrough’s Caspak comes to life in all of its prehistoric glory. Hidden from the world behind a time-warping veil, Caspak is an island continent filled with rampaging, flesheating dinosaurs, where death comes calling in a million different ways. Navigating her way through the primordial landscape, the amazing cave woman See-Ta has found that something is amiss in the island’s delicate ecosystem, a change that could upend the entire balance of predators and prey and plunge Caspak into chaos. Based on the novels of Edgar Rice Burroughs, The Land That Time Forgot: See-Ta The Savage builds upon the Caspak Trilogy and includes cameos by some of the novels’ most beloved characters.
Finally in part #2, The shocking conclusion of the two-part tale of treachery and terror on the lost, prehistoric continent of Edgar Rice Burroughs’ Caspak! Galu outcast See-Ta has uncovered a disturbing upheaval in the delicate ecosystem of the primeval world she calls home, as dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals are now starving and prowling outside of their natural hunting grounds. But what could have caused this unusual behavior, and does it have anything to do with the hideous, winged Weiroo who wants nothing more than to imprison See-Ta on the horrific breeding-ground island of Oo-oh, or perhaps take her head for a transgression from the past? Based on the novels of Edgar Rice Burroughs, The Land That Time Forgot: See-Ta The Savage builds upon the Caspak Trilogy and includes cameos by some of the novels’ most beloved characters.
