Evil Dead II (also known in publicity materials as Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn) is a 1987 American black comedy horror film directed by Sam Raimi; it is a sequel to his 1981 horror film The Evil Dead. The film is written by Raimi and Scott Spiegel. Evil Dead II was produced by Robert Tapert and stars Bruce Campbell as Ash Williams, who vacations with his girlfriend to a remote cabin in the woods. He discovers an audio tape of recitations from a book of ancient texts, and when the recording is played, it unleashes a number of demons which possess and torment him.

As with the first film, Evil Dead II has accumulated a large, international cult following. A direct sequel utilizing Raimi’s original premise, Army of Darkness, followed in 1992. It was later followed by a soft reboot and continuation, Evil Dead, which was released in 2013, and a television series, Ash vs Evil Dead, which aired from 2015 to 2018.

And now, Space Goat Productions presents, “Evil Dead 2: Dark Ones Rising”. Ash and Annie are back, and in the Evil Dead 2: Dark Ones Rising TPB have never been more Evil or more Dead! Chaos reigns in the final chapter of the miniseries trilogy starting with Beyond Dead By Dawn and continued with Cradle of the Damned. Ash and Annie are on their last legs and the whole world along with them, for that matter. Ash and Annie attempt to survive in the shadow of the Dark One, but the world might just be beyond the point of no return if the Dark One goes about bringing an end to all things. Existence had a good run but nothing stays groovy forever!

Story/Spoilers
In part #1, Ash and Annie are back, and the Evil Dead have never been more Evil or more Dead! Back in the world of the living, Annie has suffered an aneurysm. While she recovers from this, we discover that the ritual opened a part of her psyche that was then infiltrated by the dark ones. She’s unwittingly unleashed them onto the world and their first stop is the Red Knob Civil War Cemetery.

Next in part #2, The Dark One returns with a goal of infecting the entire planet and raising the dead, as Dark Ones do. It’s up to Ash and Annie as they kick it up a notch in the French Quarter looking for an old Voodoo Priestess. But will she help Ash and Annie or make their problems worse?

Finally in part #3, Ash and Annie attempt to survive in the shadow of the Dark One, but the world might just be beyond the point of no return. Existence had a good run – but nothing stays groovy forever!
