Originally presented as a serial in Britain’s 2000 A.D, this story is collected for the first time in America in this title. The story is brought to life by beautifully detailed grotesque images that perfectly capture the atmosphere and mood of the story. The Dinosaurs look incredible – and each of them are memorable thanks to the colourful artwork. The action sequences are astonishing and the ripping and tearing of limbs and squashing of juicy human heads will make you wince. “Flesh” takes place in a time where dinosaurs are kept as house pets and raised as a culinary delicacy. Of course, controlling a triceratops is a far sight trickier than raising your average everyday cow. Accidents happen…dinosaurs get loose…people get killed. Now a new force has appeared: a human woman named Shamana who seems to hunt as one with the wild dinosaurs. Raised by dinosaurs herself, she acts to unite both herbivore and carnivore against humans. Soon the overconfident dinosaur harvesters will learn that a whole new harvest is about to begin…

Now, Fleetway / Quality presents, Flesh: The Legend of Shamana. A story which presented a possible future where mankind devised a time travelling device to solve their meat crisis – namely that there was none! They would travel back in time and farm the dinosaurs. The Legend of Shamana is another gripping and fascinatingly gory tale of human corporate greed, betrayal and large, stompy, dinosaurs. So we begin a few years after the disaster which befell the human corporations in the original Flesh and it seems that greed…greed never dies. The corporation is back and continuing to harvest dinosaur flesh, in brutal, horrendous and downright evil ways. But there is one human, someone very special, she communes with the dinosaurs and understands them, she is part of their herd – she is Shamana. She is like Romulus of Roman myth, raised by the mighty Dinosaurs as one of their own, she begins an alliance between the Herbivores and the Carnivores, threatening the ‘status quo’ that the corporation has imposed.

Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, It’s high-tech vs T Rex, as man goes back in time to harvest the dinosaurs. One problem: the Dinos have an ally!

Next in issue #2, The Jurassic sparks fly as the human Shamana leads her reptilian allies on a raid against Time-To-Time Corp.

Next in issue #3, It’s Dino vs Mechosaurs, as reptiles are wired for human control! Meanwhile, Shamana is held captive.

Finally in issue #4, With the help of security chief Martinez, Shamana escapes torture and returns to her dinosaur allies for the final assault on Time-To-Time Corp!
