Frankenstein: Or the Modern Prometheus                One-shot Comic
Writer: Eric Jackson
Artist: Charles Yates
Inker: Allen Freeman
Colorist: Heroic Age Colors
Letterer: Gretchen Burke
Editor: James Pruett
Cover by: Vincent Locke

This color one-shot from Caliber Press is a faithful adaptation of the classic 1818 novel from Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley. It is based on the story from the book itself, rather than the various films.

Story/Spoilers
Consumed with discovering the secret of life, young Victor Frankenstein cobbles together a creature from dead bodies; but once it has been brought to life, the obsessed scientist rejects it as a thing of evil. This rejection sets in motion all the events of the remainder of the story: every tragedy that befalls Victor, his friends, and his family stems from his refusal to take responsibility for his creation. Shunned by his creator, Frankenstein’s monster is forced to find acceptance in a world that is both confusing and frightening to him. The monster becomes enraged at the treatment he receives and seeks revenge against mankind which has rejected and tormented him merely because he was different.
