In part #1, Prologue: The Old Men on the Shore, Chapter One: The Affections of Young Mr. S & Chapter Two: A State of Darkness, Lees and Abberline discuss Abberline’s history with the Ripper case. Flashback to the past, after meeting and wooing, Alice and Prince Eddy secretly wed and have a child. Alice is then abducted. Later, Sir Charles Warren, selects his fellow Freemason, Sir William Gull, to serve as physician to Prince Eddie; Gull performs a thyroid surgery on Annie, designed to kill her over time
Next in part #2, Chapter Three: Blackmail or Mrs. Barrett & Chapter Four: “What Doth the Lord Require of Thee?”, Marie begins her plot to blackmail Prince Eddie. Later, the Royal family learns of Prince Eddie’s indiscretions; Victoria orders Gull to kill the prostitutes; Gull and Netley take a mystic’s tour of London.
Next in part #3, Chapter Five: The Nemesis of Neglect, Gull commits the first murder, that of Polly Nichols. A series of quotes from persons involved in the Ripper case about the Ripper’s identity.
Next in part #4, Chapter Six: September & Chapter Seven: A Torn Envelope, Abberline begins investigating the murder of Polly Nicholls. Later, Gull carries out his next murder: Annie Chapman. Journalist Best begins sending “Jack the Ripper” letters to the police.
Next in part #5, Chapter Eight: Love Is Enough, Gull kills Stide and Eddowes, believing Eddowes to be Marie Kelly; He leaves a chalked message to Charles Warren using Masonic references.
Next in part #6, Chapter Nine: From Hell, Gull sends a letter “from hell” and prepares for the final murder.
Next in part #7, Chapter Ten: The Best of All Tailors, Gull murders his final victim. A map of London and some of the important locations in From Hell.
