Godzilla has emerged from the ocean off the coast of Niijima Island in Japan. He makes his way towards Tokyo and military countermeasures seem powerless against the gargantuan beast. As the Japanese government scrambles to make sense of this monster, the Prime Minister agrees to drastic actions: a nuclear weapon is launched in order to stop Godzilla. Instead, Godzilla gains atomic breath and continues unabated to the heart of Japan, as the world looks on in dread…

Story/Spoilers
In part #1, The King of the Monsters rises again and, for the first time in comics, he’s bringing lots of other beloved Toho monsters with him in one destructive saga! When Godzilla appears off the coast of Japan, the Japanese government must respond quickly to contain the disaster… but before long, other monsters start appearing all over the world. Can humanity survive this mysterious onslaught of giant beasts?

Next in part #2, The world is in panic as Godzilla reduces Tokyo to rubble. No one knows where the giant lizard has come from and even the most extreme military counter-measures prove useless. As the people of Japan struggle to survive Godzilla’s wrath, the world’s governments start thinking outside the box. Unfortunately, Godzilla may not be the only monster-sized threat the world faces…

Next in part #3, Godzilla, Rodan, and Anguirus continue their devastation, and the worldwide media begins to chime in. As people around the globe suffer, celebrities band together to save the monsters from human counterattack, and the president is criticized for being ‘soft on monsters.’ Meanwhile… a mysterious giant egg washes ashore in France. And what’s with those creepy little twin girls?

Finally in part #4, France is in danger when the mysterious egg that washes ashore begins to hatch, but should the military be worried about what’s inside the egg or those creepy kids who found it? Also, a community of monks has a religious experience of the 3-headed variety. And all the while, Godzilla seems hell-bent on coming to America…but hasn’t Anguirus already claimed it as his turf? Fight! Fight!
