Verotik is a mature-themed comic book company founded in August 1994 by heavy metal/punk musician Glenn Danzig (vocalist for bands The Misfits, Samhain and Danzig). The comics are aimed toward adult readers as they often contain imagery of a sexual and/or violent nature. ‘Verotik’ is a portmanteau created by Glenn Danzig from the words ‘violent’ and ‘erotic’.
This title was inspired by a painting from Frank Frazetta of an unnamed jungle warrior. Glenn Danzig of Verotik called this character Tigre Capianogo – Jaguar God – and gave him a background and setting. He is now the savage protector of a South American jungle, where nubile natives are threatened by demonic monsters and other terrors.
Story/Spoilers
In issue #0, At a jungle campfire, a hunting party tell the myth of how the Jaguar God came to be. Known to some as Tigre Capiango, the Jaguar God himself descends on the storytellers to give the factual telling of his origin.

Next in issue #1, The story of a primal warrior of the Amazon Jungles. A blend of South American folklore and the supernatural makes this an exciting and unique character book. A native girl flees through the South American jungle from the gargantuan menace of Ba-al, who desires the girl. The Jaguar God protects all in the forest, and must show Ba-al who truly rules the forests.
Next in issue #2, The Jaguar God is taken captive by cultists and used in their tribal sex rituals to
manifest the feared empress, Xalpen, from another, darker, dimension! The Jaguar God is taken captive by a tribe who worships X’Alpen and her Priestess. The Priestess consummates the ritual with the Jaguar God on the altar of X’Alpen, which opens the gateway, allowing the embodiment of the Dark God enter this world. The Jaguar God must dispatch both this fury and its Priestess to end the threat to his jungle.
Next in issue #3, What’s roasting on that spit? In the jungles of South America anything is possible, but what will Jaguar God have to say about it? The snake-demon Ye-Cha is a shape shifter who assumes the form of a handsome young villager to seduce a village girl to her death. Before Ye-Cha can consume his meal, Capiango, the Jaguar God, steps in to claim the body of the girl, to return her to her village for proper burial. Ye-Cha will not relinquish his meal without a fight.
Next in issue #4, The land of the Jaguar God comes under attack by venturing white men. Can Jaguar God stop their destruction?
Next in issue #5, The return of the deadly empress Xalpen. She has a surprise up her bosom for the
Jaguar God. Children playing on the ruined temple of X’Alpen inadvertently resurrect the dark goddess, who lusts for revenge against the Jaguar God. X’Alpen seeks an ally, and resurrects Ba’al, another of the Jaguar God’s former foes.
Next in issue #6, Jaguar God must now face Xalpen and Ba-al who the dreaded empress has brought
back to life with sorcery. Can even Jaguar God defeat both these giants?
Finally in issue #7, Jaguar God faces off with the Green Jaguar. Will Jaguar God be defeated? Can anything stop the Green Jaguar from devouring the villagers?
