A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…
Star Wars is an American epic space opera franchise centered on a film series created by George Lucas. The film series began with Star Wars, released on May 25, 1977. This was followed by two sequels: The Empire Strikes Back, released on May 21, 1980, and Return of the Jedi, released on May 25, 1983. Then more than two decades after the release of the original film, the series continued with a prequel trilogy; consisting of Episode I: The Phantom Menace, released on May 19, 1999; Episode II: Attack of the Clones, released on May 16, 2002; Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, released on May 19, 2005; and finally the epic saga concluded with Star Wars: The Force Awakens released on December 18, 2015; Star Wars: The Last Jedi was released on December 18, 2017. Star Wars: The Last Jedi, released on December 18, 2017. And Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was released on December 20, 2019.
Dark Horse Comics presents a tale of the final moments of The Force Awakens and the destruction of Starkiller Base to learn the fate of Captain Phasma! Captured by the Resistance and thrown into a garbage masher, we follow the chrome-adorned warrior from the site of the First Order’s biggest defeat to his epic appearance in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Now… a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away… Journey to Star Wars: The Last Jedi – Captain Phasma! What happened to Captain Phasma after Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens? Captain Phasma’s story reveals how she escaped the destruction of Starkiller Base. It’s the stunning lead-in to Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, General Organa’s Resistance forces have mounted a direct attack on the First Order’s most powerful weapon, Starkiller Base. A small assault team consisting of Han Solo, Chewbacca, and former stormtrooper FN-2187, now a Resistance fighter known as Finn, has infiltrated the base to lower its defense shields. While Starkiller’s planet-destroying superweapon is charging, Captain Phasma is forced at blasterpoint to lower the base’s defensive shields, allowing Resistance forces to attack in full. The trio then forces Captain Phasma into a garbage chute. Phasma does not intend to stay there long…
Next in issue #2, General Organa’s Resistance forces launched a direct attack on the First Order’s most powerful weapon, Starkiller Base, completely obliterating it. A Resistance assault team snuck on base and forced Captain Phasma at blasterpoint to lower the defensive shields, allowing the Resistance forces to attack in full, before forcing her into a garbage chute. When Captain Phasma freed herself she deleted the records of her transgression – only to discover that Lieutenant Sol Rivas had gotten the files before her. Lieutenant Rivas has escaped the doomed Starkiller base aboard a TIE Fighter. Eager to keep her transgression a secret, Captain Phasma commandeers a ship and First Order pilot TN-3465 to hunt Rivas down…
Next in issue #3, General Organa’s Resistance forces launched a direct attack on the First Order’s most powerful weapon, Starkiller Base, completely obliterating it. A Resistance assault team forces Captain Phasma to lower the base’s defensive shields, Captain Phasma deletes all records of her transgression – only to discover that Lieutenant Sol Rivas had accessed the files before her and escaped on a stolen TIE fighter. Commandeering a ship, Captain Phasma follows Rivas to a strange planet on the edge of the galaxy. Accompanied by First Order pilot TN-3465, the pair scrounge disguises to hide themselves among the local civilians. The hunt for Rivas continues…
Finally in issue #4, General Organa’s Resistance forces have launched a direct attack on the First Order’s most powerful weapon, Starkiller Base, completely obliterating it. After a Resistance assault team forces Captain Phasma to lower the base’s defensive shields, she deletes all records of her transgression – only to discover that Lieutenant Sol Rivas had already accessed the files and escaped on a TIE fighter. After disguising themselves among the civilians, Captain Phasma and her pilot discover the location of the missing First Order Lieutenant. But between them and their target rages a battle…
