Description
Khan One-shot Comic
Featuring the origin story of Genghis Khan, presented all in Glorious Black & White!
Writer: Tom DeFalco
Artist: Don Hudson
Letterer: Bill Halliar
Editors: Dave Ulanski & Joe Gentile
Cover by: Don Hudson & Ken Wolak
Genghis Khan, born named Temüjin, was the founder and first Great Khan (Emperor) of the Mongol Empire, which became the largest contiguous empire in history after his death. He came to power by uniting many of the nomadic tribes of Northeast Asia. After founding the Empire and being proclaimed Genghis Khan, he launched the Mongol invasions that conquered most of Eurasia, reaching as far west as Poland in Europe and the Levant in the Middle East. Genghis Khan’s conquests are considered wholesale destruction on an unprecedented scale, causing great demographic changes and a drastic decline of population as a result of mass exterminations and famine. Due to his exceptional military successes, Genghis Khan is often considered to be one of the greatest conquerors of all time.
Move over, Conan… there’s another fearless warrior in town! Witness the beginning of Temuji, a barbarian born into poverty in the timeless age of heroic fantasy, swords and sorcery. The adventurer goes on to become the warlord who would crush nations and forge the greatest army of all time: Genghis Khan!
Now Moonstone presents, “Khan“. Immortalized in history as both a barbaric warrior and brilliant tactician, Genghis Khan rose from slavery to unite the numerous Mongol tribes into the conquering horde for which they are remembered. In the relatively short years of his life, Khan claimed more peoples and lands than the Romans did in 400 years of empire, accomplishing what no man or woman has done before or since: literally becoming ruler of the ancient world.
