“Kill the Minotaur” is a comic book miniseries from Image Comics. It is a retelling of the ancient Greek myth of Theseus and the Minotaur. Rather than twisting the story into a more modern version, “Kill the Minotaur” delves deeper into the story, providing ample exposition into the key players and situations that make up the narrative. Horrifically violent, the story closely follows Theseus and the crew of Athens’ “greatest” men as they get picked off, one by one, by a merciless monster.

Story/Spoilers
In part #1, Athens lost the war to Crete. Now, they pay tribute to King Minos by sacrificing their best citizens to his unearthly labyrinth. Conspirators believe Theseus can be the hero they need to end the mad king’s bloody reign… but no one on this world has ever encountered anything like the savage minotaur.

Next in part #2, No one has ever survived the labyrinth. Now it’s kill or be killed as Theseus leads his fellow tributes through its many horrors in a desperate bid to escape. But all paths lead to the dreaded minotaur.

Next in part #3, The minotaur draws first blood! Now, Theseus and Princess Ariadne must unlock the devious secrets of the labyrinth to use against this unstoppable beast. But with their lives on the line, some of their allies are only out for themselves.

Next in part #4, The origin of the minotaur is revealed, but what other secrets does Princess Ariadne possess?

Next in part #5, Death comes in many forms as freshly spilled blood coats the labyrinth and the streets of Athens.

Finally in part #6, What sacrifices must be made to become a hero? Find out as Prince Theseus and the otherworldly minotaur fight to the death in a battle of the ages!
