Once a Mafia triggerman, Alec Knight now patrols the city as the armor-plated vigilante Knightmare. After his son was murdered and his wife sentenced to a bedridden existence by a gangster named Logan, Alec went over the edge. Convinced his only path to redemption lay in revenge, he found a man named Caine and persuaded him to help. Caine, an older man, got the armor for Knight and acts as his anchor to reality in Knight’s quest for vengeance against Logan and the Mafia.

Story/Spoilers
In issue #0, “Dulcinea”, Knightmare saves his wife from an assassination attempt by Logan.

In issue #1, “Knightmare”, A former mob enforcer whose family was slaughtered by the very men he worked for puts on a suit of hi-tech armor and begins to exact vengeance.

Next in issue #2, “Knightmare”, Knightmare has a flashback of his protege Logan killing his family. Knightmare takes down some thugs and then Logan himself while a bomb is triggered.

Next in issue #3, “Knightmare”, While Knightmare battles, first Logan and then Kirasu, the police try to deactivate a nuclear bomb before it detonates in the middle of the city. Knightmare races against time to prevent the mob from putting their plans for nuclear extortion into action, but he must do so without Caine. Meanwhile Detective Murtaugh draws closer to uncovering Knightmare’s secret identity!

Next in issue #4, “Best Shot”, Tina Carbone releases the psychotic assassin, Thrillkill, to murder her father so she can take over the mob; Knightmare gets in the way.

Finally in issue #5, “Getting Ugly”, Knightmare takes on a demented superfast healing monster. Knightmare battles to save his life and the lives of the citizens of Chicago from the villainy of Thrillkill.
