Monster Island has survived the apocalypse that created the Planet of the Apes. When the body of a giant ape washes up on the beach, the apes decide to find out what’s going on here and travel to the island. The Gorilla Generals see an opportunity to take power and death and mayhem ensue…

Story/Spoilers
In issue #1Sub, Following the events of the first Planet of the Apes film (1968), Dr. Zaius and General Ursus lead a small group of soldiers to the Forbidden Zone to destroy any remaining evidence of Taylor’s time among them. To their surprise, they discover… a Kong! Now they must venture to Skull Island with Cornelius and Zira to discover the truth, but they may not survive the deadliest journey of their lives!

Next in issue #2Sub, The crossover you demanded continues as Doctor Zaius, Cornelius, Zira, General Ursus, and a fleet of Gorilla Soldiers discover human natives on Skull Island…and the last surviving Kong!

Next in issue #3Sub, Kong is taken in by Doctor Zaius, Cornelius, Zika, and General Ursus as they all seek to learn more about this mysterious creature and the natives of Skull Island.

Next in issue #4Sub, The armada completes their treacherous journey and Kong is revealed to Ape City.

Next in issue #5Sub, Having brought Kong from Skull Island to Ape City to quell the uprisings, Zaius realizes the situation is rapidly spinning out of control, as Kong is not the only visitor from Skull Island…

Finally in issue #6Sub, It all comes down to this: the final confrontation between Kong and those damn dirty apes who tore him from his home!
