Dark Horse Comics presents Robert E. Howard’s Kull, the original barbarian king, against a terrifying magical foe from his doomed homeland of Atlantis. The Hate Witch has waited from the beginning of time for a great man of uncertain destiny whom she can use to bring about the destruction of civilization. She believes that King Kull is that man, and has launched an all-out assault on Valusia, slaughtering its people, in an attempt to draw him to her seat of power-the wilds of Atlantis! Kull will have to return to his savage origins if he wants to hold onto the throne in Valusia, and save it from civil war!

Story/Spoilers
In issue #1B, ” The Doom King”, The stoic Kull presides over a kingdom on the edge of revolution. Enter the Hate Witch – an ancient enemy eager to use Kull to destroy the great city of Valusia and with it, the whole of humanity. A string of murderers and noblemen looking to overthrow the king forces Kull to return to the land of his exile – Atlantis.

Next in issue #2B, “Savage Nation”, A series of murders has brought Valusia to the verge of rebellion! If King Kull cannot defend the people of the Purple Kingdom from the awesome arcane powers of the evil witch Heka-La, then they’ll take his crown, and maybe his head in the process! With none of his allies to accompany him in his hunt for the witch, Kull must brave the one nation that hates him more than his own – Atlantis, whose memory is long and unforgiving. Kull must come face to face with his past and battle foes he once called friends if he is to find and destroy Heka-La and restore order to his kingdom!

Next in issue #3B, “The Eyes of the Crow”, The brutal Sea Mountain Tribe have not forgotten the day that Kull violated their traditions and disgraced Atlantis in the eyes of their gods, and they will not rest until his bones have been picked clean by the carrion of the jungle! Kull is chased through the beautiful and perilous jungle foliage and precarious snow-capped mountains of his former home – Atlantis!

Finally In issue #4B, “The City of Wonders”, Kull’s pursuit of the black-hearted witch Heka-La – a shady character from his past who threatens to destroy mankind – will bring the fierce warrior to the brink. Having traversed the deadly terrain of Atlantis, Kull must retain his strength to kill the Hate Witch and her band of wraiths prior to returning to the City of Wonders – the Mighty Valusia – before it’s overcome by war.
