Relive the adventure… the nostalgia of 1984’s “The Last Starfighter”. “The Last Starfighter” is a American space opera film directed by Nick Castle. It also starred Lance Guest, Robert Preston, Dan O’Herlihy, Catherine Mary Stewart, Norman Snow and Kay E. Kuter. The Last Starfighter, along with Disney’s Tron, has the distinction of being one of cinema’s earliest films to use extensive computer-generated imagery (CGI) to depict its many starships, environments and battle scenes. The film tells the story of Alex Rogan (Lance Guest), an average teenage boy recruited by an alien defense force to fight in an interstellar war…

Alex Rogan dreams of the day that he’ll get to leave the “dead-end” trailer park where he lives in. He spends most of his time fixing every little problem everyone has and playing the local arcade game called the Last Starfighter. Soon after he beats the record for the game and an alien named Centauri comes and takes him to the planet Rylos where an interstellar war with “Xur and the Ko-Dan Armada” is soon to be waged.

Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, Alex plays a video game and makes a record high score on it and then a man named Centauri arrives and wants to recruit him to help fight a space war in part one of this adaptation.

Next in issue #2, Alex, now in space and in the company of other starfighters, sees the threat of Xur, leader of the Ko-Dan Armada, who has plans to eliminate all of the star fighters. Meanwhile, back on Earth, the robot substituting for Alex has trouble keeping things normal in part two of this adaptation.

Finally in issue #3, Alex, along with Grig, is the last starfighter and the last hope against the evil armada. Can he save the day? Find out in the conclusion to this adaptation.
