Life of Groo the Wanderer               Trade Paperback
Signed – Sketch by Sergio Aragonés included
Writer: Mark Evanier
Artist: Sergio Aragonés
Inker: Sergio Aragonés

Cover by: Sergio Aragonés

After The Death of Groo, Mark Evanier and Sergio Aragones brought Groo back to life in this original feature length graphic novel. This volume resembles the type of tale commonly tackled by Asterix and Tintin, retelling the adventures of Groo as a little boy and how he came to be everyone’s favorite mendicant. This graphic novel almost didn’t have a “life” of its own when Marvel’s Epic Comics originally published it in 1993 with a tiny run, prompting many longtime readers to express protest in the regular Groo title’s letter column claiming the non-existence of this book. Graffiti Designs rectified the matter by reissuing it in 1995.

The Life of Groo relates the awesome tale of Groo’s clumsy, disaster-prone formative years… which, of course, should not be confused with his clumsy, disaster-prone adulthood. Mark Evanier wrote it, Sergio Aragonés drew it and almost as many people read it!  Now, at long last, the Life of Groo is back in print! This trade paperback is signed by Mark Evanier & Sergio Aragones and includes a sketch of young Groo.

Story/Spoilers
Groo as a boy dreams about being a strong muscular barbarian as an adult. What follows us a myriad of childhood adventures. It’s revealed why he’s got no brain, why Grooella hates him, and so much more. All this until finally, Groo as an adult dreams of his care free life as a boy.
