The Lobo character was created by Roger Slifer and Keith Giffen, and first appeared in Omega Men #3 (June 1983). Lobo is an alien born on the utopian planet of Czarnia, and works as an interstellar mercenary and bounty hunter.

Lobo has a cancer of a problem to quit smoking and is willing to bet he can quit his stogie addiction whenever he wants… yeah right. Can the Main Man bet on his immortal life to cut out his cancer and cigar habit for 5 thousand a hit? Wait and see, geeks.

Story/Spoilers
Light up at your own risk, ’cause when the Main Man makes a bet with his pal Jonas that he can quit smoking – everybody’d better take cover!!! Lobo is not, shall we say, more pleasant to deal with during nicotine withdrawal. What for humans is an ordeal, becomes nothing less than a natural disaster for the poor mooks on the same planet as the Last Czarnian! But watching Lobo go through every hilarious nerve-fragging moment may well be worth it…
