Lost in Space is a 1998 American science-fiction adventure film directed by Stephen Hopkins, and starring William Hurt, Matt LeBlanc, Gary Oldman, and Heather Graham. The plot is adapted from the 1965–1968 CBS television series of the same name (itself inspired by the 1812 novel The Swiss Family Robinson by Johann David Wyss). The film focuses on the Robinson family, who undertake a voyage to a nearby star system to begin large-scale emigration from a soon-to-be uninhabitable Earth, but are thrown off course by a saboteur and must try to find their way home.

Now, Dark Horse Comics presents a three-issue comic series featuring the continuing adventures of the Robinson family and the wily Dr. Zachary Smith, following the events of the 1998 blockbuster film. The three-issue comic series picks up directly from the end of the 1998 film.

Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, Still wandering the cosmos, the crew of Jupiter 2 stumble upon an artifact from an ancient warrior civilization. Though there’s no sign of the warriors themselves, the fight hasn’t quite gone out of their technology.

Next in issue #2, The mysterious lizard creature forces the Robinsons to abandon the Jupiter 2 and camp out on an alien world. All seems lost until Don West comes up with a plan that just might get them their ship back.

Finally in issue #3, When Don West and the Robinsons fail to take back their ship, the lizard creature that was once Dr. Smith takes them hostage. Forced to repair the Jupiter 2, The Robinsons discover the true origin of the lizard being as they attempt to return it to its homeworld.
