Marvel presents a parody of Sports Illustrated Magazine. The Sports Illustrated annual swimsuit special transports a crew of models to exotic beaches to model minimal swimwear. Starting in 1992, Marvel decided to copy SI’s success by launching their own swimsuit special. The Marvel Swimsuit Special features some of the industry’s top writers and artists showcasing scantily clad super-heroes, both male and female in a paradise setting.
