This 2-issue art series focuses on Mike’s prodigiously myriad pencil works, all of which are published here for the first time. Fantasy artist Mike Hoffman puts together a number of pencil sketches of mostly naked woman and hulking monsters in this 2–issue mini–series from his self-published imprint. Busty barbarian women, saber–toothed cats and brutish beast abound in this pin–up collection. The solely penciled renderings reveal the subtleties of Hoffman’s draftsmanship and the lack of inks or heavy coloring give all of the pieces an ethereal quality. Evocative of early Frank Frazetta masterpieces, the book is ideal for any fan of Hoffman’s and a good introduction for the casual fantasy reader.
