In the Land of the Blind the One Eyed is KingSlave armies of Antedeluvians are apparently at odds with the Olignostics (a race of immortals that managed to “harness absolute zero,”). Olignostics have subjugated humans and made the Earth barren while Antedeluvians, led by the Green Man, are a more well-established group of immortals, having been hanging around Earth since at least the time of Moses. Monocyte… “the One Eyed,” is called forth to cause carnage.

The mini-series also features side stories by Eisner Award-winner George Pratt and Chris Newman and more side stories by legendary fine artist/illustrator Barron Storey (Sandman: Endless Nights) and superstar horror writer Steve Niles (30 Days of Night, Criminal Macabre).

Story/Spoilers
In issue #1A, Two warring immortal races rule a scarred world where time has no meaning. Death (Azrael) sits impotent, quietly planning his restoration. He summons Monocyte, a forgotten immortal necromancer who long ago chose sleep in his failed quest to die. With a fatal pact sealed, Monoctye strikes out as Azrael’s vicious proxy.

Next in issue #2A, Monocyte begins his death march towards the Olignostic city, fending off relentless attacks on his journey to destroy their immortality machinery. Meanwhile, a powerless Olignostic seizes on Monocyte’s appearance to acquire power.

Next in issue #3A, The Olignostics are dying, and their fate now rests with the excommunicated Grod. Monocyte turns his attention to the Antedeluvian metropolis and their leader, the Green Man, but is confronted by the Antedeluvian elite guard, who test Monocyte against his greatest foes, light and life. Meanwhile, the liberated Olignostic slaves strike back at their former masters.

Finally in issue #4A, The world is in in chaos. Monocyte makes his way to Azrael as the human slaves are freed…
