In the not-too-distant future, Jinzai the Endurer has been assigned a mission: he must kill his sensei, an ancient Ninja master who has turned against the clan and embraced the dark arts. But has Jinzai been misled? Like all good Ninja stories, this one involves a young man seeking his own redemption, but in order to do so, Jinzai must journey to China to learn how to counter the black magic of Yamagata and the Council of Jonin, the ones who tricked him into killing his former master.

Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, In a post-nuclear world, Jinzai – the last of the Endurers – has come to slay his Sensei at the request of his employers, Yamagata and the Council. The sensei reveals the history of the world to Jinzai and the true nature of the Council. It is a life-changing moment for Jinzai. Jinzai completes his mission – instructed to do so by his sensei – and wards off an attack by Yami Doko before escaping. Can even a ninja assassinate a man who has achieved superhuman powers?

Next in issue #2, In Seattle, Jinzai contacts an old friend to help him find Michiko. Jinzai’s life is revealed by Yamagata to Yami Doko, showing why Jinzai is now a true threat. Jinzai continues on his bloody quest for revenge. Meanwhile, dark forces conspire against him from the shadows. Includes 2 essays – Lightning Words of Death by Dale Berry and The Ninja as Anti-Hero

Next in issue #3, Jinzai manipulates both the NATO Corps and the Council’s ninja into destroying each other, while he and Yami Doko prepare for a final showdown. Jinzai’s martial skills will be put to the test when he is besieged by a cadre of deadly assassins!

Next in issue #4, Jinzai’s final showdown with Yami Doko is as much swordplay as it is mysticism. The firefight between the NATO Corps and the Council’s ninja takes a large toll on both sides, including Helmut’s life. Jinzai must face Yamagata’s deadliest killer – Yami Doko, the Kite of Darkness!

Finally in issue #5, Michiko helps a Soviet scientist escape his oppressors. He is delivered to a NATO Corps outfit, escorted by a small group of Yamagata Clan. The Clan kills the soldiers except one, and Michiko kills the Clan except for one Adept. In post-World War III world, one elite team sets out to stop a madman’s scheme, but are they ready to face the deadly skills of the ninja?
