Colorist: Joe Rosas
Letterers: Jason Levine & Richard Starkings
Editors: Axel Alonso & Joe Quesada
Cover by: Kaare Andrews
In the wake of the much-heralded relaunches of such titles as Avengers and Fantastic Four, Marvel rebooted its main “Spider-verse” titles with The Amazing Spider-Man (Vol. 2) and Peter Parker, Spider-Man.
With the first issue, writer Howard Mackie (Ghost Rider) and artist John Romita, Jr. (Iron Man) do much to return Spidey to his former glory. Peter Parker’s life is again one made difficult by the juggling of a multitude of responsibilities as the dutiful nephew of his ever-ailing Aunt May; as the devoted husband of his jet-setting, supermodel wife, Mary Jane Watson-Parker; as the determined photographer for the Daily Bugle; as the distracted employee of a scientific research facility; and as the dedicated super-hero… your friendly, neighborhood Spider-Man. “Duty and responsibility” has long been the theme of the Spider-Man. While our hero got a bit lost for awhile among the clones and the alien symbiotes, this title restores him to his proper place in the Marvel Universe.
In Peter Parker: Spider-Man – Volume 2: All in a day’s work… Could you take one person’s life if it meant protecting millions of people? Could you bear the thought that your not being able to save one child drove his father to madness? Could you defend the world countless times even though your wife had left, you had no money, and the rent was due?
While the world sees Spider-Man swinging from skyscrapers and vanquishing the villains, it is Peter Parker who must make the hard choices. The happenstance of a radioactive spider bite may have given Peter arachnid-like abilities, but it was the grief over how his arrogance caused his Uncle Ben’s death that forged him into a hero.
The lessons Peter learned in his childhood are what shape the wall-crawler of today. It is what makes him leap out the window day after day protecting the innocent from a cadre of criminals – even though his life may be crumbling around him.
Peter Parker: Spider-Man – Volume 2 {One Small Break} Trade Paperback contains:
Peter Parker: Spider-Man Issues #27-28
In part #1, Banking machines, traffic lights and everything electrical are going haywire in NYC! So whose face appears atop a skyscraper in Times Square, and what is his message for Spider-Man? And when the web-slinger battles his way to the nerve center of a spooky building, what horrifying truth will he uncover?
Finally in part #2, A flashback has five-year-old May witnessing her father perfom euthanasia on one of her paternal uncles, striving to let the ailing man die with dignity. May narrates the tale to Peter and implies she expects him to do the same when her time comes. Peter does not want to even think about it.

Peter Parker: Spider-Man Issues #30-34
In part #1, The Web-Slinger faces off against a new foe who is stronger than him, faster than him, smarter than him, and who is also fueled by a bottomless hatred of him!
Next in part #2, The new villain named Fusion, who has the ability to absorb any hero’s power, also has a deep burning hatred for Spider-Man! If Spidey wants to survive, he must find the kink in Fusion’s formidable armor, that is, if he even has one!
Next in part #3, A helpless Spider-Man is brought to Fusion’s lair, where he learns exactly who his strange new foe is, as well as the true scope of his powers.
Next in part #4, On the anniversary of Uncle Ben’s death, the web-slinger heads where he always does: the Ballpark. There he’ll reminisce about the man whose words formed the mantra of his life, and about the day when fate dropped out of the sky and landed on young Peter Parker’s head… literally!
Finally in part #5, With great power there must also come great responsibility, but what if one does not want the power in the first place? Spider-Man faces off against such an individual, when a new foe takes it upon himself to cleanse the city…
