Description
Pinky and The Brain: Christmas Special #1 One-shot Comic
It’s Christmas and The Brain has a plan to take over the world. Awesome!!
Writers: David Cody Weiss & Bobbi JG Weiss
Artist: Walter Carzon
Inker: Mike DeCarlo
Colorist: Jo Meugniot
Letterer: Bob Pinaha
Editor: Robert Graff
Cover by: Walter Carzon & Jo Meugniot
Taken from the successful cartoon show Animaniacs, Pinky and The Brain are two lab mice. One was given a vast intellect and the other is insane, and the comic continues the plot of the cartoon, with Brain trying to take over the world. This has a much more subtle humor than its sister title Animaniacs, which makes it better suited to a comic medium.
Although the Animaniacs are aimed squarely at the pre-teen crowd, their occasional co-stars Pinky and The Brain have a more devilishly adult sensibility. Pinky is a punked-out goofball of a mouse, but his partner, the Brain has a definite goal for life: to take over the world. To that end, he puts his incredible brain power to work to launch scheme after scheme. He’s a megalomaniac, but sort of endearing in his own way.
And now, DC Comics presents the Pinky and The Brain Christmas Special. Even though it’s Christmas, The Brain still wants to take over the world. As the season of peace on Earth nears, Pinky and The Brain pose as elves to infiltrate Santa’s workshop, where they hope to modify a toy that will be the key to their plan for taking over the world! But will Santa allow Christmas to usher in world domination?
Story/Spoilers
In “Jingle Narf”,The Brain has a new Christmas plan to take over the world. Upon seeing a TV commercial for a hot new Christmas toy, a programmable robot that obeys your commands, The Brain plans to amass an army of a programmable robots to seize control of the world on Christmas Day, and he laughs diabolically. So, he and Pinky head to the nearest toy store and find the shelves filled with the Robot toy, but suddenly the Christmas shopping rush leaves them empty handed. Time for plan B. To go directly to the source… the North Pole. Pinky and The Brain infiltrate Santa’s toy workshop as elves and soon locate the massive Robot toy stock. The Brain’s plan is coming together, but Pinky and Santa add some craziness causing it to come apart…
