Description

Prototype (1993-1995)                       Comics Lot
Malibu Comics Entertainment Complete Series + Giant Size Prototype

Prototype is the name of two fictitious superheroes of the Ultraverse line of comics. Both characters used an advanced exo-armor developed by the Ultratech corporation and were employees of that company. The original Prototype was Bob Campbell, who was replaced after an accident by a young man called Jimmy Ruiz.

Bob Campbell used to have a job as Ultra-Tech’s version of Iron Man. Clad in a powerful suit of high-tech “Prototype” armor, he was the company’s showpiece. For a time he was Ultra-Tech’s pride and joy – until an airshow duel gone tragically wrong sheared Bob’s right arm off. A bionic replacement was fashioned for him, but his days wearing the Prototype armor were over.

Years later, a new Prototype armor was created, less bulky and more powerful than the original. Only this time, the person inside the armor was really nothing more than an overgrown kid, genetically altered to “match” the armor. The armor is interfaced directly with the kid’s brain – and when the strain of this becomes too intense, they feed the kid drugs to ease the pain. Young and inexperienced, this new Prototype is about to get crash-tested…

Prototype (1993-1995) Malibu Comics Complete Series includes:
