The Punisher (a.k.a. Frank Castle) was created by writer Gerry Conway and artists John Romita Sr. and Ross Andru, with publisher Stan Lee green-lighting the name. The Punisher made his first appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man #129 (cover-dated February 1974). The Punisher is a war veteran and a United States Marine Corps Scout Sniper skilled in hand-to-hand combat, guerrilla warfare, and marksmanship.

Driven by the deaths of his wife and two children who were killed by the mob for witnessing a killing in New York City’s Central Park, Frank Castle becomes a vigilante who employs murder, kidnapping, extortion, coercion, threats of violence, and torture in his campaign against crime. As the Punisher, he wages a one-man war on the mob and all violent criminals. His family’s killers were the first to be… Punished!

The Punisher’s long-time friends are killed and he has to save their young daughter from the ruthless drug cartel that captured her. In order to save a young girl from a fate worse than death the Punisher may have to put his trust in the son of the very drug lord he is stalking. Can Frank trust the boy? The “Blood will tell.”

And if the Punisher did not have enough to worry about, as he heads after the drug dealer in San Domingo, he finds a very corrupt police force as well. So, I guess it’s going to have to be the Punisher vs. a corrupt police force in the country of San Domingo as well…

Story/Spoilers
It’s been six months since his family had been murdered by mobsters in Central Park, and Frank Castle has been on the trail of a South American drug lord named Hector Ramone. Through informants, he eventually tracked Ramone to his base in the country of San Domingo. When he traveled there, however, Castle also encountered an old friend, Quincy Jefferson, who was opposing Ramone in his role as the local D.E.A. chief. Along with him is his wife Angela, whom Castle once loved before he met his own wife, and their daughter Laura. Soon after this fortuitous reunion, Jefferson and his wife were gunned down, and their daughter taken hostage by Ramone. In order to penetrate Ramone’s base, Castle was forced to rely on an unlikely ally—Ramone’s own estranged son. But will he stand against his father? Or will blood run true?
